February 20th – Good Morning
The numbers for the Obama administration budget are mind numbing.
So let’s take 8 zeros away and put the budget in our vernacular.
2012 would equate roughly to:
INCOME: $24,000 annual – paying $3000 for yearly interest on debt
SPENDING: $35,000 annually
DEBT: $150,000
With the Obama budget in ten years
INTEREST DUE: Will triple i.e. $10,000 annually on the debt
DEFICIT: $8, OOO annually (THE OBAMA ASSUMPTION INCOME WILL DOUBLE IN 10 YEARS) I hope my income will double in ten years –CAN YOU SPELL INFLATION???
2021 DEBT: $250,000
Bottom Line: How does debt affect me?
Your dollars are worth less today than 4 years ago and will worth much less in ten years
Gasoline has nearly doubled in four years
Our exchange rate with other countries has fallen more than 30% in four years
Food prices up from 5 to 20% in four years
The Federal Reserve continues to print money just to pay our debt eroding your $’s more

February 14th – Good Morning and Happy Valentines Day
President Obama wins the Punter In Chief Award, as he kicks the can down the road …AGAIN.
Once again he submits a budget that spends too much and ignores our impending financial crisis.
Facts
The Obama Administration Budget Proposal:
• Increase current fiscal year budget deficit by $200 billion
• Spend $45 trillion in the next ten years
• Add $13 trillion to our $15 trillion current debt
• Claim a $4 trillion 10 year reduction by projecting a spending amount of $45 trillion vs $49 trillion
• The so called $4 trillion reduction comes from
o Claiming 1 trillion saving from last year’s debt deal
o Claiming 1 trillion saving by not fighting a war that the Dept of Defense never requested
o Claiming 1.5 trillion income from new taxes
o Which leaves an average of so called spending cut of $50 billion a year from $4,000 billion a year annual budget
To add insult to injury no mention or plan to ensure Social Security and Medicare solvency
Bottom line each newborn’s tax burden will be an additional $80,000 a year
38 weeks until the November 6, 2012 General Election
15 weeks to State Convention—May 30, 2012
5 weeks to County Convention—Mar 24, 2012
3 weeks to County Caucus —March 3, 2012

February 7th – Good Morning
President Obama wins the The Sleight of Hand Award, AGAIN
He consistently touts the administration’s falling unemployment numbers
REGARDLESS OF THE FACTS
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics non-farm employment
• In 2009 133.5 million Americans were working
• Today in 2012, 132.4 million Americans working
• 1.1 million fewer workers since his inauguration, which does not account for population growth
Even more troubling is the percentage of Americans working
• In 2000 67.3% of adults worked
• Today 63.7 %
• And over half of all Americans are receiving some form of government payment

February 2nd – Good Morning
President Obama wins the Deficit King Award
With next year deficit scheduled to go over one trillion dollar, AGAIN
He has amassed the four highest deficits since World War II
It is no wonder we are in this state when President Obama constantly uses administrative policies and regulations versus legislative politics to spend, spend, spend.
Consider these three examples:
• 225,000 clean energy jobs created/saved – cost $355,000 per job as reported by the President’s Council of Economic advisors
• $500 million green job training program at the Dept of Labor which has trained 53,000 but only 8,035 found jobs and only 1,033 are still working – cost $484,000 per job as reported by the Wall Street Journal
• $38.6 Billion in loan guarantees with $17.2 billion spent created 3,545 jobs – cost $4,800,000 per job as reported by the Washington Post
40 weeks to the Nov 6, 2012 General Election
17 weeks to State Convention—May 30, 2012
7 weeks to County Convention—Mar 24, 2012
5 weeks to County Caucus —Mar 3, 2012

January 27th – Good Morning
As President Reagan used to say, ‘Well there he goes again”
Tuesday’s State of the Union was another long and tedious speech on the need for more taxes and spending by definition a screed.
Even the left leaning AP (Associated Press) noted below:
WASHINGTON — It was a wish list, not a to-do list.
President Barack Obama laid out an array of plans in his State of the Union speech as if his hands weren’t so tied by political realities. There can be little more than wishful thinking behind his call to end oil industry subsidies — something he could not get through a Democratic Congress…. And there was more recycling, in an even more forbidding climate than when the ideas were new: He pushed for an immigration overhaul that he couldn’t get past Democrats, permanent college tuition tax credits that he asked for a year ago, and familiar discouragements for companies that move overseas.
A look at Obama’s rhetoric Tuesday night and how it fits with the facts and political circumstances:
OBAMA: “Our health care law relies on a reformed private market, not a government program.”
THE FACTS: That’s only half true. About half of the more than 30 million uninsured Americans expected to gain coverage through the health care law will be enrolled in a government program. Medicaid, the federal-state program for low-income people, will be expanded starting in 2014 to cover childless adults living near the poverty line.
The other half will be enrolled in private health plans through new state-based insurance markets. But many of them will be receiving federal subsidies to make their premiums more affordable. And that’s a government program, too.
Starting in 2014 most Americans will be required to carry health coverage, either through an employer, by buying their own plan, or through a government program.
OBAMA, asking Congress to pay for construction projects: “Take the money we’re no longer spending at war, use half of it to pay down our debt, and use the rest to do some nation-building right here at home.”
THE FACTS: The idea of taking war “savings” to pay for other programs is budgetary sleight of hand. For one thing, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have been largely financed through borrowing, so stopping the wars doesn’t create a pool of ready cash, just less debt. And the savings appear to be based at least in part on inflated war spending estimates for future years.
OBAMA: “Through the power of our diplomacy a world that was once divided about how to deal with Iran’s nuclear program now stands as one.”
THE FACTS: The world is still divided over how to deal with Iran’s disputed nuclear program, and even over whether the nuclear program is a problem at all.
It is true that the U.S., Europe and other nations have agreed to apply the strictest economic sanctions yet on Iran later this year. But the global sanctions net has holes, because some of Iran’s large oil trading partners won’t go along. China, a major purchaser of Iran’s crude, isn’t part of the new sanctions and, together with Russia, stopped the United Nations from applying similarly tough penalties.
OBAMA: “The Taliban’s momentum has been broken, and some troops in Afghanistan have begun to come home.”
THE FACTS: Obama is more sanguine about progress in Afghanistan than his own intelligence apparatus. The latest National Intelligence Estimate on Afghanistan warns that the Taliban will grow stronger, using fledgling talks with the U.S. to gain credibility and stall until U.S. troops leave, while continuing to fight for more territory. The classified assessment, described to The Associated Press by officials who have seen it, says the Afghan government hasn’t been able to establish credibility with its people, and predicts the Taliban and warlords will largely control the countryside.
OBAMA: “On the day I took office, our auto industry was on the verge of collapse. Some even said we should let it die. With a million jobs at stake, I refused to let that happen. In exchange for help, we demanded responsibility. We got workers and automakers to settle their differences. We got the industry to retool and restructure. Today, General Motors is back on top as the world’s number one automaker. Chrysler has grown faster in the U.S. than any major car company. Ford is investing billions in U.S. plants and factories.”
THE FACTS: He left out some key details. The bailout of General Motors and Chrysler began under Republican President George W. Bush. Obama picked up the ball, earmarked more money, and finished the job. But Ford never asked for a federal bailout and never got one.
OBAMA: “Right now, because of loopholes and shelters in the tax code, a quarter of all millionaires pay lower tax rates than millions of middle-class households.”
THE FACTS: It’s true that a minority of millionaires pay a lower tax rate than some lower-income people. On average, though, wealthy people pay taxes at a much higher rate than middle-income taxpayers.
Obama’s claim comes from a Congressional Research Service report that compared federal taxes paid by people making less than $100,000 with those paid by people making more than $1 million. About 10 percent of families with incomes under $100,000 paid more than 26.5 percent in federal income, payroll and corporate taxes. And about a quarter of millionaire taxpayers paid a rate lower than that.
OBAMA: “We can’t bring back every job that’s left our shores…. Tonight, my message to business leaders is simple: Ask yourselves what you can do to bring jobs back to your country, and your country will do everything we can to help you succeed.”
FACT CHECK: Many of the jobs U.S. companies have created overseas won’t return because they were never in the United States in the first place.
As Obama said in his speech, U.S. workers have become more productive and labor costs have fallen.
But there are powerful forces pushing the other way: Many of the overseas jobs in U.S. companies weren’t transferred from the U.S. They were created in fast-growing markets in Latin America, Asia and elsewhere to serve customers in those markets. Companies in the Standard & Poor’s 500 index now earn more than half of their revenue from overseas…
OBAMA: “Anyone who tells you that America is in decline or that our influence has waned doesn’t know what they’re talking about … That’s not how people feel from Tokyo to Berlin; from Cape Town to Rio; where opinions of America are higher than they’ve been in years.”
THE FACTS: Obama left out Arab and Muslim nations, where popular opinion of the U.S. appears to have gone downhill or remained unchanged after the spring 2011 reformist uprisings in the Middle East. A Pew Research Center survey in May found that in predominantly Muslim countries such as Turkey, Jordan and Pakistan, views of the U.S. were worse than a year earlier. In Pakistan, a major recipient of U.S. foreign aid that went unmentioned in Obama’s speech, just 11 percent of respondents said they held a positive view of the United States.

By not permitting the Keystone XL Pipeline, President Obama puts his campaign ahead of the health and wealth of America.
42 weeks to the Nov 6, 2012 General Election
As noted from a Heritage Foundation Member Briefing– Over the last several months President Obama has been feeling the heat from radical environmentalists and Hollywood’s celebrity base to block the construction of the pipe line. As Heritage Foundation’s Mike Brownfield explains, the administration’s retreat on this issue shows “politics is more important than achieving true energy independence for the United States.”
Relevant Points
• State department has been studying this pipe line for three years.
• There are currently 25,000 miles of pipeline already in Nebraska.
• There are no tax payer funds to build this $7 billion pipeline.
• Pipeline would generate $5.2 billion in property tax revenue for MT, SD, OK, NE and TX
• Construction by most estimates create over 20,000 jobs and 100,000 ancillary jobs
• This administration has already squandered and lost over $6 billion of your tax money in failed alternative energy plants.
What has been the secret of the American Economy was its ability to let private business deal with private land owners without government interference as they complied with relevant regulations.
The reasons most developing countries languish in poverty are barriers of entry into the market place i.e. not months to start up but multiple years of bureaucratic roadblocks.
It is no wonder this administration is presiding over anemic growth.

January 6th – Good Afternoon
44 weeks to the Nov 6, 2012 general election
We all need spread the word in earnest that it’s time for a new president.
If one needs any facts just look what happened this week
Four recess appointments when the Congress was not in recess.
This represents a total disregard for the Constitution, separation of powers, and the Justice Department ruling during the Clinton Administration that ruled recess appointments could only be made after the Senate has been recessed for 3 days.
In fact the Dodd Frank legislation that that President Obama signed, specifically states the director of the new Consumer Protection Agency must be confirmed by the Senate.
One would expect this type of governance from a banana republic dictator who when they do not get their way will run rough shod over the law.
Happy New Year

Once again President Obama, Sen. Harry Reid and Democrat leaders would rather have a political issue than restore our national economy by approving the Keystone SL pipeline project.
Please review what Congressman Lee Terry (R-NE) noted in his Congressional and Senate Western Caucuses’ weekly address. In his remarks, Congressman Terry discussed the challenges facing the Keystone XL Pipeline project and talked about his bill, H.R. 3548, North American Energy Access Act.
The legislation replaces the President’s authority to approve or disapprove the pipeline project with a structured process by which FERC would approve it, including the route modification to be worked out with Nebraska, in harmony with the National Environmental Policy Act. Construction could begin on the non-modified portion of the pipeline which would create thousands of much needed jobs.
Excerpts include:
“Keystone XL pipeline is a 1700 mile, $7 billion non tax-payer funded pipeline where we receive over 700,000 barrels of oil from Canada to refineries in the United States”
“The State Department issued a final and complimentary Environmental Impact Statement back in August.”
“We can’t let electoral politics come before the national interest.”
“We need to put Americans back to work and take advantage of this great resource.”
“Fast-tracking Keystone means fast-tracking American job creation and ensuring American energy security.”

December 8th – Good Morning
48 weeks to the Nov 6, 2012 general election
Don’t be fooled by President Obama’s and Senator Reid’s rhetoric on employment claims.
• Stimulus: President Obama predicted it would save or create 3.5 million jobs.
• Green Jobs: President Obama said clean energy policies would create 5 million new jobs.
• Healthcare: Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that the President’s health care law would create 4 million jobs and 400,000 jobs almost immediately.
• Unemployment: The Obama Administration predicted that extending unemployment benefits through 2011 would create 600,000 jobs in 2011 alone.
When Rep Pelosi and Sen Reid took over congress 146.033 million Americans were working 5% unemployment
When President Obama took over 142.201 million Americans were working 7.3% unemployment
In November 2011 140.58 million Americans were working unemployment range 8.6% to 9.2%
Bottom line in order to get back to 5% unemployment in two years requires 265,000 new jobs a month
• 6 million less Americans working since Rep Pelosi took over the House
• 1.7 million less American working since President Obama took office
• President Obama polices cannot even keep up with population growth- since 2009 – 3 million
Seasonally adjusted employment levels (numbers in thousands) from the US Government-Bureau of Labor Statistics

http://data.bls.gov/pdq/SurveyOutputServlet
Under Current Trend, Unemployment Rate would remain high
Over the past six months, the economy has added an average of about 100,200 jobs per month. At that rate, due in part to population growth, the US would effectively never reach a natural rate of unemployment – 5.2%. By comparison, if jobs grew at the same rate they did in 1997-1999, unemployment would reach 5.2% sometime between 2014 and early 2016.

In 2010 Republicans took back the House. Which left the democrats in charge of the Senate and Executive Branch.
With your help support we can regain the Senate and Executive Branch to save our children’s and grandchildren’s freedom and economic future.
As President Reagan noted:
“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We did not pass it to our children in the blood stream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we spend our sunset years telling our children and children’s children what it was once like in the United States…..”

50 weeks to the Nov 6, 2012 general election
It appears the so called super committee could not come up with 1.2 trillion in reduced spending in the next ten years. The forecast for the next ten years is 45 trillion in spending. 1.2 trillion would of amounted to approximately a 3% reduction in spending.
The trigger of $600 billion in cuts to the military that will now go in effect according Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta will result in:
• Reducing the US Army to the size that existed in 1940
• Reducing the number of US Navy ships to what they had in 1915
• Reducing the US Air Force to its lowest size since its creation
Our own Senator Cantwell’s majority party (democrats) has yet to write a budget from the senate for over 800 days.
November 17, 2011 – Good Morning
51 weeks to go before we can elect a new president, governor, senator and majorities in Olympia.
One does not have to look far for reasons to throw the democrats out of power.
Since President Obama’s election:
• Gas prices over a $1.50 per gallon higher
• National Debt up over 35%
• Health premiums up 18%
• Home prices down 20-24%
In Olympia, for the past ten years the state has brought in more revenues than the year before – but the state goes further in debt due ever increasing social engineering.
November 10, 2011 – Good Morning
We have 52 short weeks to the most critical elections in our lifetime.
Bottom line is the economic future for our state and nation.
The purpose of Bob’s Blasts is twofold:
One, provide you information on ongoing issues and campaign efforts.
Two, provide you an ongoing file of concise facts and figures one can pick and use to persuade your neighbors to vote Republican and/or counter misinformation from media and the democrats.
In Washington we need 12 in 2012, which means we need 12 more Republicans in Olympia. With Republicans in command of the executive branch, state senate and state house they help launch this state back on a path of growth, opportunity and prosperity.
• 1 new Republican Governor
• 3 new Republican State Senators
• 8 new Republican State Representatives
November 7, 2011 – Good Morning
From the Western Republican Leadership Conference:
• Federal government owns 1 out of every 3 acres in the United States
• West of Denver Federal government owns 1 out of every 2 acres in the United States
• Border Patrol Navigating Reams of Regulation to Secure Federal Land
The basis for the restrictions dates back to the Wilderness Act of 1964 which established millions of acres of federal protected land and for the most part barred permanent roads and prohibited motor vehicles, motorboats, aircraft and any other “mechanical transport” from entering. For most casual hikers and backcountry campers, that’s not a problem. But as the border has become more porous over the decades, lawmakers say Border Patrol guards have found themselves at a disadvantage as illegal immigrant use the protected lands as a corridor to enter the United States.
November 1, 2011 – Good Morning
We are approaching the most critical election in our life time.
At stake will be our freedom and the economic prosperity of our country.
Will we continue to grow, so we can work for a better life than our parents had and more importantly ensure a better future for children and grandchildren?
The answer lies with each of us.
It’s time to engage, support and elect Republicans.
