Disconnect of Olympia & DC from the People

Posted By PierceGOP on March 9, 2010

Do you see the disconnect of Olympia and DC from the will of the people?

We saw a vote in Olympia to repeal a law by initiative approved by the People of the State of Washingon.
This is a direct undermining of our initiative process and dismissing the will of the people. In this important election year, be informed who has stood up for your voice. Both the State Senate and House vote roll call is listed in the links below.

State Senate Vote     |     State House Vote

In DC, despite of the public stepping up against a government run healthcare, there are threats to forego the process that has checks and balances to push the program by any means possible.

The Senate appears to be gearing up to use a rare budgetary maneuver to push through a Democratic-supported health care plan, but even the Senate Democrat’s top budgeter says it can’t be used for wholesale reforms…… Read More

What Is “Reconciliation” And Why Is It A Threat?

Posted By News Team on March 4, 2010

Newt Gingrich | 3-03-10
During last week’s health summit, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid uttered a remarkably dishonest and, in retrospect, ironic statement, claiming that “nobody is talking about reconciliation” to pass the health bill.

It was a dishonest statement because Democrats have been openly floating …… Read More

Boehner: President’s Health Care Proposal Jeopardizes Summit, Doubles Down on Failed Approach Americans Have Already Rejected

Posted By News Team on February 22, 2010

John Boehner, republicanleader.house.gov | 2-22-10
House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) issued the following statement in response to the partisan health care proposal posted online by the White House for discussion at the upcoming bipartisan health care summit:

“The President has crippled the credibility of this week’s summit by proposing the same massive government takeover of health care based on a partisan bill the American people have already rejected. This new Democrats-only backroom deal doubles down on the same failed approach that will drive up premiums, destroy jobs, raise taxes, and slash Medicare benefits….. Read More

State Legislators voting away the Peoples Will

Posted By Bob Lawrence on February 12, 2010

After the caucus Saturday – February 13th,
Pack the chamber gallery in Olympia to let the Dems know that overruling the peoples will on tax increases is unacceptable

Call your legislator and let them know how you feel about scheduling a weekend session to back door the peoples will.

Fellow Republican Leaders and PCO’s, We are in a fight for our State, Counties, Cities, and people of this State. The Washington State Senate democrats, voted to eliminate the 2/3 majority needed to pass a tax increase to a simple majority. This was done by rescinding the will of the people that passed I-960. Last night the Senate lost a two day battle by a vote of 26-22. The house is preparing to battle for this fight in the House of Representatives. It only takes 50 votes in the house to overturn this will of the people. A good article written by Jerry Cornfield that explains this is a democrat vote: State votes to rescind I-960 tax limitations

WE NEED YOUR HELP. We need to activate, republicans, tea party members, conservative and moderate independents, chambers of commerce’s, businesses, and people that don’t want to pay more in taxes.

We need to be clear; this is being done so the majority democrats can push tax increase after tax increase upon us. WE HAVE TO BE UNITED NOW MORE THAN EVER. This battle will begin anytime now and possibly last through the weekend. Please spread this email to anyone and mention at the meetings this Saturday.

THINGS YOU CAN DO: Call or Email to contact ALL or your democrat state representative asking them to vote against SB 6130. Come to Olympia in this weekend and sit in the Gallery and show support. Come to Olympia and rally if possible.

TELL THE WORLD THAT THE WASHINGTON STATE DEMOCRATS ARE RUINING THIS STATE. NOT ONE REPUBLICAN WILL VOTE FOR THIS LEGISLATION.
