Pierce County Republican Party Passes Resolution Supporting Farmers.
Puyallup, WA – At the quarterly meeting of the Pierce County Republican Party Central Committee members on Saturday, October 20, 2018 a resolution was passed supporting farm workers. Pierce County Republican Party Treasurer, Patrick Plumb, introduced the resolution.

Whereas a debate was held for the 8th Congressional District race in Washington State and conducted in Ellensburg, Washington; and Whereas during that debate, a statement was made by the Democrat candidate stating that farmers are “potential abusers” who are holding workers in “indentured servitude”; now therefore, be it
Resolved, the Pierce County Republican Party (PCRP) Central Committee:
1. Calls all Democrats to condemn the statements made by Dr. Kim Schrier;
2. Expresses and affirms our steadfast support for our farmers, from the small family farmers to the large farming operations, which are a crucial backbone of our economy because they drive our service industries by employing transport rail, trucking and shipping industry workers, who deliver agricultural products to local retailers and also utilize our Pierce County ports to subsequently feed the world; and
3. Urges all citizens to stand with and condemn the attack on farmers, and then to vote for Dino Rossi on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.
