Q Why are we having a “campaign year kickoff” in November? Where will the profits of this event go?
A We need to ensure the Pierce County Republican Party “candidate fund” is on strong footing as we head into Campaign 2020. Republicans need to get a head start building support for our statewide and local candidates. The candidate fund will be designated to help specific, strategically targeted races and PCRP endorsed candidates. Funds will be awarded to help provide campaign support, advertising and/or campaign materials. We will be active players in these campaigns!!
Q How do I sign up?
A Purchase your tickets today at www.PierceGOP.org/gala.
- Early Bird pricing for individual tickets is $85.00 through October 18th.
- Normal price is $95.00, through November 1st.
- Late notice individual tickets are $110.00 through November 15th.
- Last chance/day of event price is $125.00.
Remember that we need to give meal guarantees to the venue – and must have accurate guest numbers in advance. Procrastinate at your own peril!!

Q What’s the program for the evening?
A We’ll enter into the dazzling event hall to a reception showcasing incumbents and candidates and providing some special silent auction items, games and camaraderie. We are not having a separate “VIP” event. All of our political stars and event guests are VIPs and will have a chance to mingle.
Dinner will be a delectable buffet with three entrees and a vegetarian alternative – all prepared on-site with farm-fresh ingredients. Local and state political celebrities will entertain us, with Pierce County’s own State Senator Steve O’Ban acting as master of ceremonies.
And what would a political event be without a dessert dash?
We’ll have plenty of yummy sweets for all!
This IS a fundraiser, so bring your charge cards and checkbooks because several enticing items and experiences will be offered as live auction items. And we’ll raise the paddle for our Candidate Fund.
Q I’ve heard there will be musical entertainment and dancing.
A The Bellarmine Swing Band will provide music during the event, and then take over the facility for an “After Party” to which all attendees are invited. The Washington State Senate Republican Caucus is sponsoring this part of the evening featuring music and dancing – plus good conversation for anyone reluctant to expose their talents on the dance floor!
Q Is there an extra charge for the “After Party”?
A NO! It’s intended to be fun for all and give you an extra opportunity to visit with your friends, candidates and elected officials. And a little Dancing with our Stars. . . .
Q What is the attire?
A Black tie optional. Be comfortable – but remember this is a GALA! And dancing shoes are appropriate.
Q What is the address, and what about parking?
A 13407 80th Street East, Puyallup, WA 98372. It’s exactly a mile from the Puyallup Elks Lodge — not far from WA-512 or WA-167 and a block off East Pioneer at the east end of Puyallup. Easy to find, and the welcome lights will be on for you!
There is ample free on-site parking just a few yards from the Event Center.
Q How did you choose the “Proud Elephant” and “Celebrate the Greatness” theme?
A We are proud of the business climate produced by policies championed by our Republican Pierce County Executive and County Council, and of the diligence of our legislators who strive mightily to hold the line on outrageous tax increases and legislative mandates from Democrat majorities in Olympia. We are proud of the economic results achieved under President Trump . . . the policies pursued to restore America’s clout in the world . . . the confirmation of 150 conservative federal judges . . . and so much more. We’ll Celebrate our leaders, our country, our communities and our values.
Q Where is “Farm 12” and what is its importance to this event?
A “Farm 12” recently opened its doors in Puyallup and is the newest large event venue in Pierce County. Most important, its mission and message embody conservative values. The FARM 12 Restaurant/Event Center is the culmination of a years-long campaign by the non-profit “Step By Step” to provide job training and workforce opportunities to at-risk Moms, enhancing the organization’s core mission to help at-risk pregnant women deliver healthy babies, embrace positive parenting and establish safe homes. Information about this unique and inspiring venue can be found at http://legacyinmotionproject.org. FARM 12 is located on the former Van Lierop Bulb Farm, about a mile from the Puyallup Elks Lodge.
Q What can I do to help?
A You can contribute unique silent auction items and creative baskets . . . solicit gift cards from local businesses . . . give or identify special higher-end treasures, trips and experiences for the limited live auction that will boost earnings for the evening.
We hope you’ll share names of potential sponsors with the PCRP chair and vice chair. You know conservative, politically-inclined corporate leaders in your communities. Help coordinate follow-up! Generous sponsors will greatly enhance our ability to support candidates in 2020.
Q Will there be elephants?
A Yes. Of course. Elephants are proud, strong, fiercely loyal to their families and herds — AND THEY NEVER FORGET! (Remember that!) We promise an entertaining evening, with maybe even a surprise or two. It would also be great if you would bring a stuffed elephant to leave for the children of Step By Step’s moms!
